What to expect at your first dental visit

Upon booking your first appointment, our friendly staff will send you a link to fill out a digital Medical History Form. It is ideal for you to complete the form prior to attending the appointment. If you cannot complete the form prior, please arrive 10 minutes earlier to complete a Medical History Form in our waiting area. A completed Medical History Form is essential to ensure our team is able to provide you with the highest quality of personalised care.

As soon as our team is ready for you, one of our staff members will lead you into one of our pre-prepared clinic rooms. At the start of your appointment and prior to any procedure, our team will request that you share any concerns or issues you have related to your teeth and gums. 

Our qualified and experienced dental practitioners will conduct a thorough assessment of your current teeth and gums. To aid this process, our dental practitioners may request dental x-rays to be taken of your teeth. X-rays may include; small dental x-rays (individual teeth), an OPG (full mouth) or a 3D Cone Beam X-Ray (fine detail of the jaw structure in a three-dimensional view). 

Your dental practitioner may offer you a scale and clean of your teeth to remove tartar build-up. Post-clean, fluoride may be applied to reduce dental decay and teeth sensitivity. Your dental practitioner will then discuss with you the condition of your teeth and gums and may suggest a personalised treatment plan for you. 

At the end of your appointment, one of our staff members will lead you back to the reception for payment, healthfund claims and to book future appointments. If additional appointments for treatment are not required, you may be able to book your next 6-monthly check up to secure your next appointment.
